Gmail is Google's free webmail (email) service. It was launched in 2004 as a private, invitation-only beta and now anyone can create a Gmail account, although it still calls itself a beta. It is arguably the best webmail service with virtually unlimited storage space, great spam handling, and now with chatting capabilities including video.
