Portland Business Incubator: Hatching new companies

Fostering the growth of fledgling startups is the goal of any business incubator. The Portland area boasts several incubators and other organized efforts to nurture and grow young companies.

The two incubators on this list are the Portland State Business Accelerator, operated by Portland State University and located near its downtown Portland campus, and the Open Technology Business Center in Beaverton, funded by Beaverton city government as an economic development strategy.

Other startup-nurturing organizations on the list range from the well-established and spirited entrepreneurs' self-help group StarveUps to a new incubator founded by Portland's flagship ad agency, Wieden + Kennedy. Also included on the list is Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, which connects investors and entrepreneurs. While not strictly an incubator, OEN has a long history of supporting entrepreneurs in their quest for equity funding.
