The website - olfred.dk was created a long time ago to be used by me and my family and possibly by a few of my closer friends, and it has survived many attacks from any kind. The website has resisted many attacks like FTP administrator attacks and Mail spamming attacks which are ignored by the server as it is needed to Authorize the user before email can be sent - It has webmail functionality but it is highly secured as you can't send anything unless you use smtp authorization using a mail program. At the moment My personal email is circulated in majhor spammer servers and every time they succeed getting a few mails to the server they will be firewall blocked so the spammer servers will all end up with full outboxes :) So there is at least one advantage of having your own server.
