Board of Trustees Grant The Pacific Foundation for Medical Care offers provider networks and other medical services to health plans and self-insured employers. Founded in Sonoma County in 1957, PFMC has since grown to encompass 27 counties throughout California (see service area map). The organization is governed by a board of trustees composed of physicians from PFMC's service area. PFMC’s mission is to improve patient access to physicians.
