Engaging people to celebrate and care for Our River. For thousands of years, the San Diego River has provided life to our community. While it is known as California's First River, in recent years the River has been neglected and largely ignored. The River Park Foundation is endeavoring to bring people together for a healthy river, to protect significant natural and cultural resources, and to celebrate the River with a river-long park system.
