Statistics reveal One out of every eight women in Africa country have gone through physical abuse; out of every four women at least one woman has been sexually, abused. Statistics have it that in the United States of Americana woman is beaten every 18 seconds. Nine out of every ten battering incidents are not reported to the police. Legal expert call wife abuse the ‘silent crime’. Police simply refer to the few reported cases as family matters. The church had not provided much assistance either.
