"It's a two-way tool," says Card Memos developer Frances Moore-Jones. "The better the communication, the better everyone will be."
Even where the homeowner can speak their help's language, the cards keep everyone organized. Pairing a cleaning product or tool with a phrase card makes the instructions even more specific. Your help can use the phrase cards to check off her tasks during the day.
Moore-Jones started the company after too many frustrating mornings spent scribbling notes to the sitter and weekly cleaning lady before she left for work. She started using flash cards with the Spanish translation of a phrase on each one. Her housekeeper and sitter loved it.
When she started the company, Moore-Jones realized adding a picture to each housekeeper phrase translation card would make the system even more effective.
