- HIMSS will be launching the AFEHCT Financial Systems Steering Committee as of July 1, 2007. This new steering committee will continue to build upon the foundation established by the HMSS AFEHCT Advisory Council. The new Steering Committee will focus on financial services, administrative transactions systems, related technologies, and emerging trends such as medical banking. Additional focus is on the integration and interoperability of these systems with clinical systems and other e-commerce systems. This steering committee will engage our membership community spanning various stakeholders including clearing houses, software vendors, providers, health plans, financial institutions, and other e-commerce players, ultimately benefiting both our individual and corporate members.
