ANGRYJERK.NET- Voice of the silent majority

About

Self-description:

"Finally, a site where the blunt truth is told. A site where nobody gives a fuck if you're hurt or offended by words or images. A site where big fancy useless words aren't needed to convey a point. A site for the silent majority.

Who are the silent majority? The silent majority is everyone who has an opinion that they are afraid of expressing due to persecution by do-gooder members of society who don't want to hurt other people's feelings. A lot of sites like mine claim to be the same way, but I see the owners hesitating to take up certain issues that are known to offend. To think that they don't have an opinion on these matters is just ridiculous. They needlessly use big words in an attempt to look smart, like "That person's point of view makes me feel so tempestuous. What, you didn't know that 'tempestuous' means violently angry? That makes me better than you, idiot." Let's face it. Nobody uses those words in everyday conversation. If I don't use the word in a normal conversation, I'm not going to use it on a rant site that has no real standing on anything in my life. It doesn't mean I have a small vocabulary or I'm stupid. It's not like I'm writing a thesis paper.

I've had a few people I've referenced on here send me messages or call me telling me to take down their picture or delete what I wrote about them. Once in a while, I actually realize "Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have wrote that about them," or I simply oblige them because I don't need more shit on my plate at the moment. I've had several people threaten to sue me during the years that I've had websites. I even had one woman go as far as to find my address and phone number, and tell me she was going to mail legal documents to me (or rather my cousin whose name I had used to register that particular site, since I was living with relatives at the time and he had the credit card). Usually though, I won't delete stuff or censor stuff to pacify others.

When this site went up, its main purpose was to shock and offend, and to test my host's policy of "Put up anything you want as long as it's not illegal." So far, they're been excellent hosts. As time went on, I grew out of purposely pissing people off, and decided to use the site's slowly increasing popularity to touch on stuff that most people are afraid to touch. The site became popular enough that my ex-girlfriend's recent boyfriend found it and she sent me a message asking why her picture was on there. I'm a nice guy, and I had enough to deal with already, so I took it down. I see my site right now as being a frontline fighter in the war to protect free speech. As the definition of "hate speech" constantly increases to cover more and more stuff, sites like mine are becoming endangered.

I should clarify that I'm not as prejudiced as I sound. I believe that stereotypes come from somewhere, and that every race has faults. Everybody is prejudiced to an extent. If you notice, I haven't singled out minorities. I've also ripped on Irish-Italians when I'm Irish-Italian myself. I dislike people playing the discrimination card when it's plainly obvious that it's not a race issue. It's time to stop covering up your faults by blaming others and start fixing them.

This site started out with few readers. The few readers that did read it disliked it, claiming I was trying too hard to be edgy, which was probably true at the time. As of right now, this site's ranking is fluctuating between 1,000,000 and 1,500,000. I have to thank Rantlister.com for my boost in traffic. I don't write to gain recognition or to please others. I do it to vent frustrations with a society that is growing increasingly dumber by the day. If you've ever seen Idiocracy by Mike Judge, that's what I invision society becoming in the future. If you haven't seen it, check it out right away. It's both funny and eye-opening.

It annoys me when I get accused of ripping off Maddox. If you own a rant site, you've definitely been accused of this at least once. Maddox is NOT the inventor of rant sites. He simply used his connections on IRC chatrooms to push his site. If there's anyone who tries too hard to be edgy, it's him. "Look at me! I write about killing babies and beating up old people! Doesn't that just piss you off and make you want to write me hatemail? Make sure to use poor grammar and spelling so I'm more likely to publish it on my site. Also make sure to put up an argument as strong as a wet piece of toilet paper. If I can't hand you your ass, I won't publish it." Making fun of people's spelling and grammar is the easiest way to defend yourself when you can't argue with the person's point.

As I continue with this site, I plan to add more content besides articles. Two Flash series are in the works, and I'm considering eventually making videos (with or without myself in them). I've thought about making a series of short videos demonstrating my claims that the god of the Bible, Torah, and Koran is evil. I've read the Bible from beginning to end, but I have yet to read the Torah and Koran. Other short video ideas include fake commercials and me or a friend pulling pranks.

Love me or hate me, I'm here to stay. I'm not a gimmick or a troll saying things to piss people off. I'm just an average guy who won't be intimidated into not expressing my opinions."

Why I Created This Site

I created this site to test the waters of the internet, so to speak. I want to see how much I can get away with before I am shut down. I am also aiming to get media attention. The majority of stuff I write, I do hold as my beliefs. There are some things that are pure satire, such as promoting abuse against women, beating children, and suicide. Also, a lot of my stories are made up, exaggerated, or based on someone else's experiences, usually to demonstrate a point.

The primary goal of the site is to get shut down or censored for my opinions, so I can prove that popular opinion outweighs free speech. As of this writing, my site is not very popular.
