The Arnott Eye Centre was established by Eric Arnott, over ten years ago. In the early 1970s he introduced the first technique for small incision cataract surgery – phacoemulsification – into Europe. Since its inception the centre has become internationally recognised as a tertiary referral centre for treating complicated cataract and corneal problems.
