Our Mission
The Bicycle Source strives to be different -- a better cycling resource. We found that other popular biking web sites have no original content. Instead, they host pages of user-submitted links, or user-submitted postings. Worse yet, those we could find who did seem to have their own content had merely plagurised the Usenet Biking FAQ. Without a real human being to filter the links or real experts to write real articles and columns, we found these sites to be lacking in both form and function.
So in April 1998, two experienced racers and cycling experts, both distressed by the situation on the web, set out with a mission: to make a online resource for cyclists that Doesn't Suck. BicycleSource.com is the result of many days and nights of blood, sweat and tears to this day, as the (now much larger) Bicycle Source team labours to make your cycling resource even more helpful.
With over 250 original articles, written by some of the world's top experts, on every aspect of cycling we believe that we have fulfilled the dream of a free resource for everyone that has real content. There is finally a comprehensive alternative for the informed cyclist.
