Big Sky Drive-In Theatre - Twin Screens

Description

Donald "Red" LeGros started with his passion for theaters in Arcadia, Wisconsin in 1971. There he owned an indoor theater named Vogue Theater on Main Street. Moving to Wisconsin Dells in the early 1980s, he acquired the Chalet Theater downtown where the clock tower is currently located. He purchased the Dells Drive-In, formerly Winnebago Drive-In, and later changed the name to Big Sky . In 1997, he added a second screen to the opposite side of the field from the original one so visitors could have a choice between 2 sets of double features of first-run films.

Dorothy "Ma" LeGros is the creator of the famous Big MamaBurger. She manages the grill and office area of Big Sky and handles ordering supplies to keep the snack bar and grill stocked for the hungry patrons. She has been married to Don LeGros for 53 years.

Mary Bork, one of the LeGros daughters, manages the theater and handles the projectors. She handles the responsibilities of the physical plant and grounds, plus helps keep the concession stand stocked.
