The diocese was founded in 1937 and serves 500,000 Catholics in Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland Gloucester, and Salem Counties, New Jersey. Under the leadership of Most Reverend Joseph A. Galante, D.D., J.C.D., Bishop of Camden, the diocese strives to grow ever-more into a dynamic community of faith, hope and love wherein we reveal the mind and heart of Jesus through our actions and worship.
