A little history of how Cardinal Bakery began. Joe Politano became a baker’s apprentice in Italy at 11 years of age. In 1966, his family relocated to Long Island, New York and he continued to work in the baking industry, advancing to plant manager for a multi million dollar bread company, supervising over 100 people. In July 1984, after speaking with a friend who had been living in the Northern Virginia area for 8 years, Joe relocated his family to Leesburg Virginia.
