- It was 1999 in the University of Georgia’s Masters program that Heather Taylor and Alyssa Yount first met. Both were studying to become Speech Language Pathologists. It was a combination of internships and personal experiences that lead them to specialize in the pediatric population. The opportunity to impact the lives of children and improve the quality of life for other families was put on their hearts. The similarities between Heather and Alyssa did not stop with their passion for children, as they also shared a similar work ethic and demand for excellence. Both were committed to being among the best in their field and were eager to begin their professional careers. After graduation, Heather and Alyssa parted ways and both began their careers working in the Georgia public school system as elementary school speech pathologists.
