Fusing the intricacies of Desert Sin's Middle Eastern dance origins with a wide array of other dance forms, drama, and dazzling effects a style emerges like no other creating a superior theatrical experience that is as enlightening as it is entertaining.
Our first and foremost goal is to create dances that speak from our hearts. We develop characters and stories with innovative interpretations that reflect the world in which we live, and combine them with gripping visuals to create lush new worlds that never leave you. We believe in unity despite our cultural differences, and it is our desire to enhance our understanding of ourselves by learning new aspects of the world's cultures and fusing what we learn with our own realities. Although our members come from varied dance backgrounds we maintain Middle Eastern Dance as our core and a preferred education in our dancers as it is in this form that we find the most unity, community, natural movement, sensuality, femininity, and spiritual transcendence. We then fuse this with whatever form of movement we feel will lend itself to our narrative. As a company of women we also support each other's needs for exploring the stereotypes and preconceived notions of our gender as well as our own demons within us. We are a canvas for interpretation, revelation, and catharsis.
