Our History

While planning a move to the area in late 2004, we discovered that it was very difficult to find information on local businesses. Once in the area, we found that people would recommend a business, but it would take searching through several phone books to actually find the contact information for that business.

It was these two factors that encouraged us to start the Dufferin Directory. We wanted to create one place where people could look to find any type of business in the area. It is our vision is to become the most reliable, comprehensive and interactive online source for business and community information in Dufferin County.

Creation of the Dufferin Directory began in July 2005, and the website was officially launched to the public September 19, 2005.
