Description

Apptimum, Inc. was established in 1998 as Eisenworld, Inc. with the mission of streamlining PC upgrades by eliminating one of the key hassles involved in buying a new machine. By providing the means to easily preserve and move the computing state (consisting of applications, settings, and user data), we enabled consumers to migrate their personalized computing experience to new PCs.

Our strategy was to initially focus on the consumer market to achieve early revenues and, by developing a leading PC migration solution for consumers, create a launch pad for enterprise products using proven and known technology. The founders and their venture capital backers set the objective to create substantial shareholder value by generating high levels of sustainable and profitable revenue by solving problems for companies that provide products and services for enterprise customers.

The core technology and Alohabob brand creation were inspired by a real person and his common dilemma. Alohabob (the founder’s father who lives in Hawaii) wanted to upgrade to a new PC without losing the time invested in personalizing his old machine. His continued requests for help with migration prompted the recognition of a considerable latent demand for a user-friendly solution that automates the entire process and significantly reduces the time required to complete it.
