Five-Rivers.org is a social enterprise providing children's services

Five Rivers is a leading independent Social Enterprise that works with children who are in need of specialist care throughout England and Ireland.

We were established in 1989 to provide a secure environment with as much normality as possible for young people who have experienced abuse, neglect and abusive relationships or for children who are in need of specialist residential care.

Over the past two decades we have developed our ‘Five Fundamental’ services,

[[1]]Crisis Intervention,

[[2]] Assessment and Therapy, [[3]] Residential Care, [[4]] Family Placements, and [[5]] Education

Each of which are principle-based and remain integral to our complete integrated children's services.

At Five Rivers we promote a strong, pragmatic philosophy, shared by all of our professional and experienced staff, that each child or teenager is an individual in their own right, with their own unique reactions to trauma.

Five Rivers strives to ensure that the young people we work alongside have access to the right programmes for all-round development, thereby offering placement opportunities with endless choices during the planning process.

Service environments are selected to provide psychological well-being and our aim is to offer children and young people high-impactprofessional support, underpinned by a robust practice model which helps them to work through their challenges and difficulties, supported and guided by our expert practitioners. This unique approach over the last twenty years has enabled us to cement ourselves at the forefront of a sensitive sector.
