The Business

In the beginning (1998) there was Chandler's Soaps, merrily making soaps and body care products and selling them via the website, craft shows and mail order. Then in about 2000 a few Oregon soapmakers started on a quest to find a source for malibu tubes and foam pump bottles. "Sure," we said. "We can coordinate a group buy!"

And so from those humble beginnings ForSoapmakers.com emerged. After than initial group purchase (which involved shipping out over 5,000 bottles!) the word spread and more and more people wanted foam pump bottles and malibu tubes. It got complicated to put these products on the Chandler's Soaps website, so a new web store was created just for the containers for soapmakers - ForSoapmakers.com.

In the course of things, Chandler's Soaps needed good powder shakers, so a large purchase was made of specially manufactured powder shakers. Chandler's Soaps used some, and the remainder were put on the ForSoapmakers site. So many soap makers needed them that they are now a stock item and carried all the time.
