Hi, my name is Beverly Mital and I started Guardian Family Care, Inc. in 1994 with (3) employees. In 1991 I quit a full-time job to take care of my husbands ailing elderly parents. During that time I realized that there was a tremendous need for a wider variety of elder care options. Many people want to stay at home where they feel secure and in control of their own lives. It gives them a sense of pride and dignity. So after they passed on I decided to start an agency that would provide the services I wished were available to them and to me. Thus, Guardian Family Care was born to provide in-home fast, friendly, accommodating services that were easily accessible (24) hours a day.
Then I started receiving calls asking if we could do in-home Childcare. Parents wanted the dependability of someone caring for their children at home whether they were healthy or ill. They wanted a person that had a full back ground check and the necessary training to provide the best care for their children. This type of comprehensive service required a Nanny and in some cases extra training for special needs children.
I knew how important it was to provide individualized care solutions based on each unique need. My ideal was to treat each person special by providing a comprehensive needs assessment and from that develop a detailed care plan tailored to each person’s needs and circumstances. It was also important to me to get care providers that had the same passion and vision as I did to give their best for each and every person they cared for. I still do my own interviewing today and currently have almost (80) great Employees.
