First Impressions In this, my first letter to Gauteng Guides, I shall briefly touch on a couple of the most striking differences between Korea as I have experienced it thus far, and South Africa. I had been offered the opportunity to teach English in Korea. Since the guiding scene was pretty quiet I seized the chance and set the application ball rolling. Delay after delay followed until I eventually got the news that I would be departing on 6 July 2009.
