- This website is the result of extensive scholarly research about actual projects from schools, memorials and educational institutions about the Nazi Era, World War II, the Holocaust, human rights, present memorial culture and related subjects. These projects were carried out in historical and citizenship education in and outside schools and in educational work with young people. In order to assure the widest dissemination, the project is published in several languages. It is based on a CD-ROM and book with the title "Learning from History - The Nazi Era and the Holocaust in German Education", which was published with the support of the Press and Information Office of the Federal Government, the Goethe-Institute and the Robert Bosch Foundation in April 2000. An advisory board of German and international experts give their expertise to the general outlines of the website and the selection of new projects.
