Description
Deborah Hopping, owner of Illumination Graphics for 12 years, has been in the graphic design business for 30+ years! Her early career was in newspaper publishing, using T-squares and wax and all the messy paste-up tools pre-computers. When computers came along, she discovered computer graphic design WAY more precise and a welcome new artistic tool, becoming proficient in Quark XPress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Previous to opening her own business, she worked for various print shops and advertising agencies in Marin and Sonoma Counties, California.
In 1994, she received two Bachelor Degrees (Cum Laude) from Sonoma State University, in Studio Art (emphasis: photography) and in English (emphasis: creative writing). Her art degree enhanced her Graphic Design abilities and skills.
As well as excellent graphic design, she also paints pastels (bright abstracts of nature and life drawing). She is also a photography aficionado, shooting in B&W and full color, with a high-resolution digital camera. She often weaves her photos and pastels into her unique graphic designs.
