I have been wanting to put HTML in the web link description in joomla. Sounds easy but there are no clear solutions. So I am going to post the solution here when I find it. If anyone has modified there core weblinks module for 1.0x or 1.5 let me know if you want to share. It would be nice to have a directory type listing. Alphaplug makes such an extenstion but it does not output weblinks in anything other than plain text.
