- IN 1967 George Graham started Joy Propane Ltd., 17 miles north of Dawson Creek, BC, from his Rolla farmstead. George's first truck was a single-axle with a 2,000 gallon (U.S.) tank. He would haul propane from Girouxville, Alberta, about 100 miles away and sell it to his BC neighbours for a neighbourly price of $0.14 a gallon.
