- Richard was raised in Illinois and moved to Las Vegas in 1969. After receiving his Masters degree in Educational Psychology at UNLV, he became a therapist and has been a counselor in Las Vegas for many years. He currently works as a UNLV Adjunct Faculty member and has done so since 1992. In 1995 he was appointed by the Governor to the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and has been the President since 1999. He worked as a Trainer and Facilitator for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Las Vegas Fire Department, Clark County Fire Department, Park Service Lake Mead Recreational Area
