Title
Welcome to Key Curriculum Press
Description
Key Curriculum Press was founded in 1971 by Peter and Steven Rasmussen to provide the educational community with alternative mathematics materials. Based on their experiences as mathematics teachers, Peter and Steven wrote and produced the initial texts, which launched the company, and Steven remains its president today.
In 1996, Key Curriculum Press began a valuable business affiliation with Springer, one of the world's largest and most prestigious scientific publishers, strengthening the breadth and depth of our publishing resources. In 1998, we created KCP Technologies, building on the educational-research talent and software-development strengths that have enabled us to create The Geometer's Sketchpad® Dynamic Geometry® software and Fathom Dynamic Statistics™ software. In 1999, Key Curriculum Press, in cooperation with Springer New York, expanded and launched Key College Publishing to offer innovative mathematics and statistics texts and courseware for the college market.
From our headquarters in Emeryville, California, we publish high school mathematics textbooks, mathematics software, supplementary materials and workbooks, videos, and manipulative materials. We also provide professional-development services to teachers across the United States.
