The Khmer Software Initiative is a joint project of the National Information Communications Technology Development Authority (NiDA) of the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Open Forum of Cambodia, a Cambodian local NGO with a long history of supporting advance in communication and information exchange in the country. The Khmer Software Initiative is part of the necessary work for the accomplishment of the Government's Master Plan for the Implementation of Open Source Software in Cambodia.

The Khmer Software Initiative is being coordinated by the Open Forum of Cambodia and is being carried in partnership with National Information Communications Technology Development Authority (NiDA), as part of the necessary work for the accomplisment of the Master Plan for the Implementation of Open Source Software in Cambodia.
