Kolossos Printing founder Nick Arhangelos began his career in the printing department at UM�s Commission on Professional and Hospital Activities. With the skills he acquired there, Nick launched a small printshop in the basement of his home by acquiring and rehabilitating a small offset press.
After building a darkroom in the basement, acquiring a used offset camera, paper cutter, stitcher and folder, and enlisting the efforts of his wife, Kathy, Nick and Kolossos Printing were ready for business. Before long the workload forced Nick to leave his job and work his own company full-time. Later he was forced to move the company out of his house and into a storefront at 213 E. Liberty in downtown Ann Arbor.
These are some of the services that we provide:
* Printing: We offer one color to full color printing as well as black and white. Consider embossing, foil stamping or die cutting for an even more impressive look. Offset printing is where you get your best quality and price for large print runs.
* Copying: You can get high quality black and white as well as color copies on a variety of papers. Our oversize black and white copier can print up to 36" x 60". For large color prints up to 44" x 90" visit our digital output department. For the finishing touch on your document, we offer several types of binding.
* Design Services: We have several designers on staff to set up your documents. Call for an appointment to get your project quoted and started.
* Digital Output: Large scans up to 36" wide. Museum quality prints up to 44" wide on archival matte or gloss papers. W also print banners and trade show graphics.
* Photo Processing: At our South University Ave. location we have one hour photo processing. Bring in your film or your digital media for high quality prints. 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, wallet size, and more.
* Signs and Banners: Vinyl lettering and graphics, economical banners, vehicle and store lettering are all available in our sign department, and we have the graphic design skills to make your message shine.
* Binding: We have hard and soft cover book binding, as well as a variety of document bindings including wire and comb.
* Shipping & Mailing Fed Ex and UPS: We also have packaging supplies. Ask about our addressing and mailing options for your bulk mailing projects.
