As for an explanation of my "weekend absense" last week, I was on vacation in Grand Canyon. For the first time in my life, I went on one of those family vacations with a friend. Now see... this friend, I guess, is very shy. So when she wanted/needed something, she asked me. Me, being the friend in the family, was supposed to act like a good "hostess" (how else would you word it?) and give her the stuff- like food, water, etc. But on the last night of the vacation, she was lying down (half sleeping) and said "Urghh...[insert dry sound here] Fiona... I need water."

I have a patience for some people. But my patience snaps when I'm tired or in a bad mood. It just so happens that when she asked for water, I was sleepy- so I told her to get it herself. Blah. No big deal. I was just annoyed at her for a couple of days (I'm over it now).
