Description
Lakes Radiology - Rotorua provides general radiography, mammography, fluoroscopic procedures and general, obstetric, small part, musculo-skeletal and doppler ultrasound. CT is provided through an equipment lease arrangement with Lakeland Health Hospital using a new State of the Art helical scanner.
The Rotorua practice provides imaging services to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (rheumatological and rehabilitation centre). Lakes Radiology provide a plain film radiography service on site and other imaging services at the Rotorua facility. Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lakes Radiology have a joint venture company - The Bone Density Service. The service provides bone density studies in conjunction with QEH rheumatologist Dr Peter Jones.
Lakes Radiology provides a quality imaging service. Accreditation by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) was achieved for Lakes Radiology Ltd in May 1999. We have Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiology (RANZCR) accreditation for mammography at both Rotorua and Taupo, and have been selected as one of the pilot sites for the RANZCR Accreditation of Radiology Services.
