In late 2001 Paul Lew, founder and president of Lew Corporation (Lew Composites), sold his controlling interest in Lew Corporation and in early 2002 he left Lew Corporation and formed Lew Aerospace, an advanced technology company which manufactures aerospace components for the US Government. Lew Aerospace, Inc. physical manufacturing facility is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lew Aerospace is a manufacturer of advanced composite components for US Department of Defense (DOD) as well as commercial customers in the bicycle, and motor sports market, using state-of-the-art CNC tooling as well as high-precision carbon composite tooling fabricated in house. Primary to their DOD customer is the Inventus™ family of scalable UAVs. Their 12,000 square foot facility employs 20 to 60 full-time employees (contract dependent) who undergo approximately 500 hours each of annual in-house training to maintain their high-level of aptitude in composite fabrication. CADD capabilities include seats to support Intergraph, AutoCAD, IGES Drawing, SolidWorks, 3D Studio, Metastream, STEP Drawing, Shape File Format, Scalable Vector Graphics Format, Drawing eXchange Format, ACIS, and Stereo Lithography. Lew Aerospace internally supports over 1000 hours of flight-testing and component testing annually as well as maintaining a technical staff capable of supporting it’s customer base at US Government Ranges in the CONUS.
