Description
The Lisa Ross Parker Foundation is a foundation started by a very good friend of mine who lost her only sister to Leukemia . I had just met Lisa's sister , when she found out her sister had Leukemia, and by October of that year she lost the battle with cancer, and passed away. I went to visit her in the hospital during her fight with Cancer, and gave her " Fearless " cap, album, and sweatshirt....she truly was fearless, and maintaned a spunky sense of humor in the worst of times.... 3 days after I met her, she was gone.I saw the devastation it caused within a very close family, and how hard it was for them to keep the bedside vigil going , being from out of town, and not having many of the means to make staying with Lisa throughout her ordeal very easy. When Lisa passed away, I was inspired to write a song that many of you are farmiliar with, it is called " The One You Love". I know what an impact this song has had on many people, and I feel comfortable in sharing the reasons it came to fruition....music is powerful, and so is giving. Many of you send me wonderful gifts throughout the year, which are greatly appreciated.
