Macedonia Church is located 340 East 106 Street, New York City, in the culturally rich area of New York's East Harlem dubbed "El Barrio."

Macedonia church is affiliated to the Assemblies of God. Currently the Assemblies of God USA and Assemblies of God organizations around the world make up the world's largest Pentecostal denomination with some 38 million members and adherents. But numbers fail to tell the real story, and statistics can never meet human needs. People who need help in coming to know God, have problems in their home, or are troubled by any of a multitude of other things that keep people from being happy and fulfilled, need someone who cares. And that's the message of our Fellowship. Because Jesus cares for people, the Assemblies of God is people who care about each other.
History
Macedonia Christian Church of the Assemblies of God began on March 28, 1939. Rev. Jose Belen Hernandez a Puerto Rican Pentecostal pastor saw a need to start a church specifically for Latino immigrants in East Harlem.His dream was that there would be a church in the community that would be representative of the unique power of Gospel.
