Description

About the Group

The Men's Glee Club is the largest and most active of the Naval Academy's musical organizations. They have appeared on several network television shows, most notably for The Presidential Inaugural Galas (CBS) and Kennedy Center Honors (CBS), Christmas in Washington and The Today Show (NBC), and Good Morning America (ABC).

They participate in annual performances of Handel's Messiah, which have been broadcast over public television stations throughout the country. They have performed masterpieces of the choral-orchestra literature with the Naval Academy Women's Glee Club and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra including Orff's Carmina Burana, Mozart's and Brahm's Requiem, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, and the Verdi Requiem, all part of the Naval Academy's Distinguished Artist Series.

During the past four years, the Men's Glee Club has performed in California, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Ohio, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Florida, Italy, Sicily, and England. Each year, these midshipmen represent the Navy and the Naval Academy with pride and distinction in schools, colleges, churches, cathedrals, and many of our country's finest concert halls.
