About PANS
The Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia was incorporated under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia on June 29th, 1979 and is governed by the Bylaws which are in harmony with the Association's Charter, goals and objectives.
The Pharmacy Association exists to promote and provide leadership and assistance to its members so as to ensure their continued professional and economic growth.
The Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia (PANS) operates in a democratic fashion. Through the PANS Bylaws, the province has been sub-divided into a number of districts. Every second year an election is held in each district and a pharmacist is elected to the PANS Board of Directors. These directors (10 or 12 in numbers) come together at least four times to run the Association.
