Description

This is a very important word in the history of Belarusian language, the language that enjoys the luxury of three alphabets and has several conflicting spelling systems. Just like with the Greek original, the word's etymology is nice and simple. It means "the right writing" (prava-pis). And that's the name and the motto of our Website.

On a more serious note, pravapis.org is a private Internet project with the objective to put together various resources about our language, to make it a true portal for linguists and philologists interested in the Belarusian language.
