About Us
Snowflake Software was founded in 2001 when the Directors identified the need for 'off the shelf' solutions to integrate specialised GIS applications into more mainstream IT technologies - effectively opening GIS to a wider audience.
Based in Southampton, the home of UK mapping, Snowflake Software has peerless experience and expertise of Ordnance Survey MasterMap® and GML. Currently Snowflake is developing a suite of generic solutions that will allow corporate and government customers to gain benefits from their geospatial data quickly, easily and reliably. The Snowflake Software team is passionate about geospatial innovation and with our partners, including Oracle and Ordnance Survey, Snowflake shares the vision of bringing the benefits of geospatial data and technology to a wider range of customers than ever before.
At Snowflake Software, our raison d'être is to make a positive difference within the geospatial industry - our products have been well received and are proven to offer superior functionality and performance. In addition, Snowflake provides a number of consultancy and modelling services to help customers realise the potential of storing and transferring geospatial data in an XML format, such as GML.
