The "Sturgis Brick Beautification Project" plans to replace Main Street's sidewalks with commemorative brick pavers. The profit from the brick sales will go into a special fund called the "Sturgis Brick Beautification Project Fund." The money will then be used for the revitalization of downtown Sturgis, outlying parks, waterways, and areas of historical merit.

The idea for this project was the result of a brainstorming committee in the fall of 1998. The objective of the committee was to come up with ideas to help the community realize a greater financial benefit from hosting the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
