Wolf Song Communications is owned and operated by Trudy Pogue of Harcourt, Ontario. Trudy has a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Her varied background includes computer programming, product planning and support for computer software, writing, technical writing and graphic design. She spent 2 1/2 years at Corel Corporation working as a technical writer. During this time she produced manuals, online Help and tutorials for CorelDRAW (illustration and layout), Corel R.A.V.E. (animation), Painter (digital sketching and painting) and Photobook (image editor). In addition to learning these graphics products, Trudy gained knowledge and experience in technical writing, HTML, desktop publishing and indexing.
Trudy's writing has been published in the Haliburton County Echo and County Life, as well as in various newsletters and children's magazines. She volunteers at Wilberforce Elementary School, teaching computer classes and assisting with website maintenance. Trudy is on the Advisory Board for the Haliburton Highlands Writers' and Editors' Network. She designed and now maintains the organization's website, and produces their regular newsletter.
A Haliburton County cottager since 1983, Trudy moved to the area from Ottawa with her family in July of 2003. She now enjoys using her unique combination of technical and creative talents to serve the people of Haliburton County and beyond.
