We are rustic log furniture makers that have been creating rustic furniture since 1995. The quality pieces we construct will last for generations. The respect for nature and what she has to offer gives us the drive to search for the quality unique pieces we use in our furniture. Sometimes the urge to be out collecting the unique woods takes time from the shop work. My dad was an excellent woodworker. I have two nephews that are rough and finish carpenters. Is the woodworking talent genetic? We think so…
We live in a remote area with no electric or telephone lines or service. We rely on solar energy and a generator for electricity. Gravity fed spring water is piped into the house and we rely solely on wood for heat. Being snowed in for a week or so during the winter months is nothing new to us. We love and respect nature, but do hunt, trap and fish when the time allows. We only have a cell phone with sporadic service, so if you are contacting us by phone, please leave a message and we'll return your call as soon as possible.
We describe our furniture as ‘Rustic Elegance’. We’ve made numerous pieces of furniture from lodge pole and aspen, but the graceful twists and swirls of the juniper and uniqueness of the burled aspen appeal to our creative drive. Attention is paid to detail, like carving where joining pieces attach, making our finished products easier to look at. It is also unique when compared to the old style of log furniture making. We go the extra mile and hand carve the sculpted edges of our lamp bases and tabletops. We know all our hard work is worth it and that it appeals to people when they want to touch it.
