Welcome to EMDRIA's new website! EMDRIA is a professional association where practitioners and researchers seek the highest standards for the clinical use of EMDR. By promoting training, research and the sharing of the latest clinical information, EMDRIA is committed to assuring that therapists are knowledgeable and skilled in the methodology of EMDR.
We who serve EMDRIA believe in the importance of EMDR and the mission of EMDRIA. EMDR is an accepted psychotherapy by leading mental health organizations throughout the world. Professionals trained in EMDR are dedicated to changing lives for the better. The website provides information and services to the greater EMDR community including clinicians, researchers, and the public that our members serve.
The EMDRIA Board would like to hear from you. “As President of a Board eager for a continuous dialogue with its members, your comments, as elements of this ongoing conversation, are essential and most welcome,” said President Zona Scheiner. We always are seeking to expand opportunities and vehicles for communication between the Board and the members . The Newsletter and the website already exist as a means to communicate to our members. However, they only lend one-way communication: from EMDRIA to our members. We’ve created the “Ask the President Column” to allow members to voice questions, issues and concerns (anonymously if desired) to the Board. In future issues of the Newsletter, the EMDRIA President will discuss membership issues or questions that are received from EMDRIA members.
