- Lorraine Hamilton, 20 years old and wearing white go-go boots, joined the Noel Gay Organisation as assistant to the legendary agent-impresario Richard Armitage. She rose through the ranks to become an agent and together they discovered talent such as Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Christopher Eccleston and Shirley Henderson. In the mid-1980's, she set up her own agency, Lorraine Hamilton Management, in a disused closet in the Noel Gay building and this evolved over the years to become the Hamilton Hodell of today.
