- Hawaii Business is celebrating its 50th anniversary as the oldest regional business magazine in the United States. Founded in 1955, Hawaii Business has garnered many prestigious awards, including three bronze awards in 2005 from the Alliance of Area Business Publications and gold, silver and bronze awards for special section design and editorial excellence in 2004. It has also received numerous editorial and design awards for business reporting from the Hawaii Publisher's Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. In 2000, former Publisher and Editor, Floyd Takeuchi, was named the Small Business Administration's Journalist of the Year.
