Imperas was originally founded by the developers of SystemVerilog to tackle the problem of multi-core software development and the challenges of getting complex parallel programs onto multi-core platforms. It became apparent that Imperas was ahead of its time and that the most pressing challenges the software developers were having was how to get their parallel software up and running on their new multi-core platforms.
