- قررت اللجنة الوطنية الروسية لمكافحة الارهاب إلغاء نظام عمليات مكافحة الارهاب في أراضي جمهورية الشيشان اعتبارا من منتصف ليلة 16 ابريل/نيسان عام 2009.
Russia Today was launched to provide the Russian perspective on International and Regional events for Arab audiences. It is commonly perceived as an attempt to counter the propaganda-like operation of Al-Hurra TV, an Arabic-language station funded by the US government.
