PSI Seminars was created in 1973 around the dining room table of Thomas D. and Jane C. Willhite. Though founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the young company soon found its way to rural and scenic Lake County, California. Just outside the small community of Clearlake Oaks, Thomas and Jane acquired High Valley Ranch, a working 1700 acre cattle ranch to serve as the headquarters of PSI Seminars. Under the leadership of the Willhites, the company soon expanded its course offerings and locations.

Thomas Willhite died at the age of 43 while flying his stunt plane over High Valley Ranch in late 1983. His death occurred almost exactly a decade after the founding of PSI. Jane C. Willhite, succeeded him as President and Chairman of the board. Nearly two decades later, PSI Seminar's president continues to chart a course of expansion for this unique educational company. Her dream is that ultimately PSI Seminars will have an office in every major city throughout the United States and indeed, the world. "It is natural to be successful," write the Willhites. "All of us were meant to be happy and successful. Life is more than a two week vacation once a year. It is, and can be, exactly what you want it to be. There are no limits except those you put on yourself."
