Why did I join karate?? I had asthma since I was two years old. When I would play outdoors and run , I would get out of breath . I couldn`t play football or join soccer for that reason. I was always wanting to do some kind of sport so I asked my mom if I could try karate. She called and set things up for my first class. I went to karate class the following week and I did enjoy the class . I didn`t get out of breath learning some Kata moves. I wanted to join and I needed to get a Gi and some sparring gear. Then I went to all my classes and rarely missed any. I was feeling so much better doing the exercises. Now four years later , I do not need to have an inhaler anymore and I do not need those allergy shots either. My doctor told me he exspects to see a 30% increase of improvement with his patients but my tests showed a 90% improvement! I know learning Kata`s help my breathing and the exercises made me stronger. I would like to teach karate in a school of my own someday . I want to keep doing martial arts because it is an important part of keeping fit and healthy. My second interest is my music. I play the guitar and sing . My friends and I get together to prctice as much as we can so we can play on stage.My buddy Sam is the drummer , his older brother gives me some tips because he has a band. I am also in "Select Choir" at school so I can gain extra exsperience. I have a Skechter see thru blue guitar that is so sweet.
