Founded in 1868 by Cardinal Charles Lavigerie when he was the Archbishop of Algiers, Algeria, the Missionaries of Africa (formerly known as the White Fathers) work throughout the vast African continent implanting the Gospel, providing relief, and aiding the development of men, women and children. For 130 years, we have been reaching out to the African people - to preach, teach, heal and build.
